Discover Veneto through ist food and wine tours!

The Prosecco road and the road of Wines of Piave, the products and specialties that deserve to be found out

With its landscapes, the food and wine tours and many culinary traditions, Veneto is a region to explore and to taste! If you speak of Veneto, you should also speak of wine. The region produces indeed 19 among the best DOC Wines of Italy, such as Prosecco, Bardolino and Valpolicella.

In Veneto there are 18  "strade dei Vini e dei sapori", "Wine and Tastes Road", dedicated both to the promotion and development of the wines and that of typical local products and dishes: cheese – Asiago, Montasio, Piave – olive oil, rice, radicchio.

From Lido di Jesolo it is possible, within a day’s time, to reach the prestigious wine areas and some of the well-known routes: the Prosecco Road and the Road of the wines from Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Hills, the Road of the Wines of Piave and the Road of DOC Wines Lisom Pramaggiore.

The Road of Prosecco and of Wines from Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Hills

The itinerary starts in Conegliano, circa half an hour away from Jesolo Village and finishes in Valdobbiadene. The road connects along 40 km the two cities, defined as capitals of Prosecco Superiore, to the slopes of the Pre-Alps.

Along the way it is possible to visit some of the wine cellars known all over the world and come to a stop some of the old town centres of great historical and cultural interest: Collabrigo, Rua di San Pietro di Feletto, Solighetto and Conegliano, obviously while you are sipping an excellent glass of Prosecco in the inner city!

The Road of Wines of Piave

The road skirts left and right Piave River, by joining Roncade (that is 30 minutes far from Adriatico Village) to Portobuffolè, Conegliano to Motta di Livenza and Noventa di Piave.

Along the street, one of the widest DOC-Wine areas of North Italy, there are three routes that let you find out different landscapes, little city centres and old villages, tasting typical products and various wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Malbech, Verduzzo Trevigiano and many others that you can find in the cellars or in the farming companies along the street.

The Road of DOC Wines Lison Pramaggiore

From the city of Portogruaro (about 40 kilometers from Jesolo) this itinerary crosses Province of Venice in the area between the rivers Livenza and Tagliamento, one of the most impressive zones of Veneto. The wine traditon has very old roots here, dating back to the era of the Roman Empire. You can feel the original atmosphere by visiting the town of Concordia Sagittaria, circa 35 kilometers far from Jesolo.

In the cellars and trattorias along the Road you can taste the DOC wines of the area: Lison, Tocai, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon, Merlot.
